Tallinn

We arrived in Tallinn, Estonia this morning. 6am to be precise. We took a bus from Riga in the wee hours of the morning. It smelled like piss and that was just the seats. I was wedged between 3 fat people including a man who seemed to become more and more naked as the 6hr trip progressed.

We are staying with a couchsurfer now and he is a cool guy. We have the attic and had a snooze after a much needed shower... going for about 24hrs without one, eww! Our host - like the vast majority of Estonians - has a sauna in his cellar. I forsee us steaming it up tonight, tipsy, before heading out on the town. This part of eastern europe is very scandinavian, which does not surprise as Helsinki is only 1hr away by car.

  2. Let me make a small minor correction: this part of world IS Northern Europe. You might want to google northern europe, eastern europe, and then draw your conclusions.

  3. Please explain, therefore, why Latvia and Lithuania are counted as Eastern Europe, and by some miracle, Estonia is not?

Not that, you know, we didn't conquer you or anything. :D
